Food and Fitness is a monthly newsletter published online by food expert Kathrin Clark, the Bureau of Senior Services’ statewide nutritionist. Articles range from "Mindless Eating" to "Lower Your Grocery Bill" to "The Emotional Side of Diabetes." A Recipe Corner with healthy and seasonal ideas is also included in each issue. As part of the 2009 Nutrition Initiative, Susan Poindexter collected menus and recipes from West Virginia's senior centers. In some cases, she revised the recipes or menus to closer meet the guidelines for key nutrients for that menu. Also available are salad and soup recipes.
