The 2026 Senior Summit will be held May 19–21, 2026, at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, West Virginia.

The Senior Summit is a lively, camp-style retreat filled with hands-on workshop, engaging activities, and plenty of opportunities to relax, laugh, and connect in a beautiful outdoor setting. It brings together active older adults who value learning, connection, and enjoyment -- creating a vibrant atmosphere where participants build friendships, explore new ideas, and simply have a great time together.

This year, participants can energize body and mind through movement classes including Qigong, Yoga, and general Fitness sessions suited to all ability levels.

The conference also features a Choir class for those who love to sing, a hands-on Crafts class to spark creativity, and a Wildlife class exploring the natural world around us. Attendees can also attend an informative session on Scam Awareness, learning how to recognize and avoid common fraud schemes.

With a welcoming atmosphere and opportunities to connect with others, this conference is a favorite for seniors looking to learn, share, and enjoy new experiences.

Crop Scouting for the Home Gardener

Want healthier plants and bigger harvests? Join us to learn the secrets of crop scouting—an easy method used by farmers and gardeners to monitor plant health and catch problems early for small or even container gardens. This session will teach you how to "read" your garden by looking for early warning signs of pests, diseases, and plant stress. Participants will learn practical tips for inspecting plants, identifying common issues, and deciding when action is needed. With these simple scouting techniques, you'll gain the confidence to manage garden problems early and keep your home garden thriving all season long.

Create Beautiful Handmade Cards

Join us for a fun and relaxing card-making class where you'll create two beautiful handmade cards—a Birthday card and a Thinking of You card—perfect for sharing with friends and family. All materials will be prepared in advance, so participants can simply enjoy assembling the designs and seeing how the pieces come together to create a finished card.

During the class, the instructor will demonstrate several popular card-making techniques such as embossing, die cutting, and heat embossing, and briefly introduce some of the basic tools used in card crafting. You'll also learn how simple touches like layering, texture, and embellishments can transform a card into something truly special. No experience is needed, making this class perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a fun and creative activity. Participants will leave with two complete cards and inspiration for creating more handmade greetings at home.

Beginning Cricut Class

Bring your summit tote bag to class and get ready to turn your everyday items into something uniquely yours! In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn the basics of using a Cricut machine and navigating the Cricut Design Space while creating your very own custom tote bag! We'll walk you step-by-step through designing, cutting, and applying vinyl—no experience needed.

Bring your creativity (and your tote bag!), and get ready to press, peel, and personalize. By the end of class, you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind creation and the confidence to keep crafting at home!

Senior Summit Choir

Lift Your Voices: Senior Summit Choir! Love to sing? Come join the fun! Whether you're a seasoned choir member or just enjoy singing along to your favorite tunes, this welcoming class is for you. Participants will learn and rehearse a variety of songs—including special selections to be performed at the Wednesday evening Vespers.

No auditions, no pressure—just great music, great company, and the joy of raising your voice together. Come be part of something beautiful!

That old coin jar or forgotten collection might be worth more than you think! In this engaging session, discover how to identify valuable coins and learn what factors determine their worth. Explore the creative potential of LEGO® beyond childhood play. We'll examine LEGO®'s move into the adult market, highlighting innovative designs that appeal to adult builders and popular shows like LEGO® Masters. Participants will be encouraged to engage in hands-on activities that stimulate collaboration and critical thinking, creating everything from intricate models to imaginative designs. Whether you are a seasoned builder or new to LEGO®, this class offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with your inner child while discovering the exciting world of adult LEGO® building.

Move with Ease: Vinyasa Yoga for Beginners

Experience the benefits of yoga without the intimidation! This beginner-friendly Vinyasa class breaks down flowing movements into simple, manageable steps that help improve flexibility, strength, and balance. Perfect for all ability levels, this class will leave you feeling more mobile, more relaxed, and ready to take on the day. Mats will be provided by the instructor or bring your own if you have one. Classroom can accommodate about 20 participants.
